Clench Wallet stores Bitcoin wallet data locally on Android, giving software-wallet, watch-only, multisignature, and compatible signing-device users non-custodial control. It creates single-signature or multisignature wallets, imports descriptor-based watch-only wallets, and creates or restores BIP-39 wallets with optional passphrases. Native SegWit, nested SegWit, legacy, and Taproot scripts are supported, with Electrum connections through personal servers or Tor SOCKS5.

Coin control, UTXO freezing, labels, batch payments, RBF fee bumping, CPFP, replacement cancellation, raw transaction import, and sweep tools cover detailed Bitcoin transaction work. Diagnostics show the Electrum route, Tor mode, TLS pinning, server version, and chain tip height. PSBTs move through animated QR, BBQr, deliberate NFC taps, microSD or chosen files, and supported signed-return imports.

The wallet exchanges data with SeedSigner, Keystone, Foundation Passport, and Blockstream Jade, but signing-device communication does not use USB or Bluetooth, though USB can provide power. Version 0.3.28 added physically unverified presets for OneKey Pro, Krux, and Specter DIY; Krux and Specter DIY also accept microSD or file transfers, while Coldcard Q, Mk4, and Mk5 have dedicated transfer paths. TAPSIGNER offers status checks, setup, verification, import, backup, and direct signing for supported single-signature BIP84 native-SegWit or standard BIP48 native-P2WSH multisig inputs, including in-app review and returned-signature verification. TAPSIGNER payment signing excludes Taproot, legacy, nested SegWit, nonstandard P2WSH, other account paths, and PIN changes; SATSCARD active-slot sweeps add certificate checks and explicit CVC-authenticated unsealing.

The open-source Android 0.3.29 release requires Android 8.0 or later and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, and x86_64. It requires fresh Android authentication before seed or send protections can be disabled, rejects repeated multisig key material in new policies while warning about it in existing wallets, hardens signing sessions, backup identifiers, QR frames, Electrum input handling, signing-secret scope, and native-dependency checks, adds explicit signature-collection restart, and updates SQLCipher with tested database/WAL upgrade handling; physical-device validation remains outstanding, with evidence limits covered in the release notes.
