About

CLion is a commercial integrated development environment for Linux. It is intended for C and C++ development, with native support for libc++ and Boost. The environment combines code editing, project navigation, analysis, building, testing, and debugging tools.

Its navigation features can take users from a symbol to its declaration or usages. CLion can generate constructors, destructors, operators, and other code elements, and it includes a broad set of refactorings. Code analysis features include Data Flow Analysis and Clang-Tidy integration, while debugging is supported through GDB and LLDB.

CLion uses the CMake build system and supports Google Test, Boost.Test, and Catch. It includes Doxygen for code documentation and Valgrind Memcheck for memory profiling. Support for popular version control systems is included, and a plugin can provide Vim-emulation mode.

In the Developer Tools category, CLion is distributed for Linux through a commercial license. It is available as a free 30-day evaluation, with monthly and yearly subscription options for companies and individual users.
