Clockify records the hours you spend on client work, projects, and tasks so agencies, freelancers, and teams can see where working time goes. A one-click control, or a keyboard shortcut, starts the timer when work begins and stops it when the session ends. Stopped entries can include a description, project, task, tag, and billable or non-billable status.

The Mac desktop app can track the applications and websites you use, with that activity visible only to you, and turn the recorded time into entries individually or in bulk. Preferences offer a Pomodoro timer with scheduled work periods and breaks, plus a default project that avoids repeatedly choosing the same project. Auto start/stop can begin timing when the computer turns on and stop it when the computer shuts down. Idle detection identifies inactivity so forgotten idle time can be discarded, although this feature is unavailable when the app is installed through the App Store.

Reminders can notify you when you have forgotten to start tracking, while the web version lets you manage projects, invite teammates, review timesheets, and export reports. Clockify runs on macOS 12 Monterey or later and supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. The current release is version 2.12.6, and the software is offered under a freeware license.
