Command-Tab Plus lets you switch between open Mac applications and their windows from the keyboard, replacing the built-in macOS Application Switcher with a faster, more capable alternative. It is especially useful when many programs are open and finding the right one with repeated key presses becomes inconvenient. Invoke the switcher with Command-Tab, Option-Tab, Alt-Tab, or another shortcut you configure, then select the application using keyboard controls.

After choosing an application, press Z or ~ to move quickly among its windows. By default, the switcher shows only icons for applications running on the current display or Space, although this behavior can be turned off in the settings. It also hides inactive or hidden applications, keeping background programs out of the selection view. Built-in skins change its appearance, while custom skins let you create a look of your own, and application filters provide additional control over what appears.

Command-Tab Plus suits Mac users who work across several applications, multiple windows, or more than one display and prefer keyboard-driven navigation. The software has been available since 2016 and is offered as freeware in the System Tools category.
