Cornerstone4.2

Cornerstone lets Mac developers work with Subversion repositories through a visual client, including checking out and updating working copies. Its Shelving feature stores uncommitted changes as unfinished shelves, so users can switch tasks and reapply that work later without committing it prematurely. Checkpointing records snapshots of local changes and lets users restore an earlier state when an experiment goes wrong.

Built-in text comparison places code differences and log-message editing together, while image comparison lets users inspect visual changes inside Cornerstone. The Working Copy Checklist, Change Preview, and several merging strategies help users review proposed merges before applying them. The Log presents repository revisions with messages and changed files, supports file-history browsing, reveals branch points, compares the histories of multiple files, and identifies who, when, and why contributed each line.

Cornerstone suits developers managing active branches, reviewing changes before a commit, or temporarily pausing unfinished work while they handle another task. The current 4.2 release adds Dark Mode, full macOS 10.15 support, in-app license-key management, Shelving, and Checkpointing, while its rebuild for macOS High Sierra improves checkout and update performance.

It runs on macOS with Intel or Apple Silicon architecture and is distributed as freeware. Upgrading from an earlier Cornerstone release requires manually copying Cornerstone 4.2 into the Applications folder.
