About

CPR Beat sets a loud, steady compression click at 100, 110, or 120 compressions per minute, started from a single large button. You can switch between compression-only pacing and 30:2 mode, which counts 30 compressions, warns during the final five, then guides two breaths with a 3–9 second pause that allows time to move to the patient’s head. A rescuer-change timer can be set to off, 1, 2, 3, or 5 minutes; it flashes and displays a SWITCH RESCUER banner, while tapping the timer changes its interval. CPR elapsed time and the starting time remain visible after STOP for handover to paramedics.

Playback uses the alarm channel, so the click can be heard in silent mode, and an optional setting can automatically raise the volume to its maximum. Three click sounds are available, with settings retained between launches, and the dark, high-contrast interface is designed for gloves and bright daylight. The interface follows the phone language between English and Russian, or you can choose either language in Settings. It works fully offline without an account, advertisements, analytics, network permission, or data collection.

The app is intended as a pacing aid for CPR practice and emergencies, and users should try its controls before they are needed. Its 100–120 compression range follows AHA 2025 and ERC 2025 guidance, but CPR Beat is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical conditions; call the local emergency number first and follow dispatcher instructions.

CPR Beat is open-source software for Android 8.0 and later, supporting arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86. Version 0.4.1 fixes narrow-screen countdown layouts, including the Samsung Galaxy S25, and keeps Settings countdown chips inside their outlines while shrinking text at larger system font sizes.

Requires Android 8.0+ · Architecture: arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, x86

What's new in v0.4.1

Version 0.4.1 • Fixes the layout on narrower screens such as the Samsung Galaxy S25: the rescuer-switch countdown no longer shows "02:0", and the countdown chips in Settings stay inside their outlines. Text now shrinks to fit at larger system font sizes too.
