DeskPad1.3.2

DeskPad adds a virtual monitor to your Mac and mirrors that display inside its own window, giving you a separate workspace to share. It addresses a common screen-sharing problem: presenting an entire screen while moving among several applications can be difficult for viewers when the presenter’s display is much larger. By placing the presentation activity on this virtual display, you get a dedicated workspace that is easier to share.

Launching DeskPad works like connecting another monitor, so macOS arranges your windows according to their previous configuration. You can change the virtual display’s resolution in macOS System Settings, and the DeskPad window adjusts to match it. When the pointer enters the virtual display, DeskPad highlights its title bar in blue and brings the window to the front, showing where the cursor is working.

DeskPad is a System Tools utility for macOS 13 Ventura or later, with support for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. The current version is 1.3.2, and it is offered as freeware. It may require Screen Recording permission to display correctly; if it appears in that permission list but fails to work, uncheck DeskPad, check it again, and restart the app for the change to take effect. Developers can contribute to Stengo/DeskPad through GitHub by creating an account there.
