Deskreen3.2.16

Deskreen sends your Mac’s display to any device with a web browser, turning that device into an additional screen. It can mirror the entire desktop or restrict sharing to one application window, which is useful for presentations and demonstrations. With a Virtual Display Adapter, a browser-equipped device can function as a genuine second screen rather than only showing a mirrored view.

Phones, tablets, other computers, and smart TVs can all serve as receiving screens, and Deskreen can connect as many devices simultaneously as you want. Screen video travels over WiFi without cables, including in completely off-grid situations that use only a local WiFi network. Picture quality can be adjusted during a session, or changed automatically according to conditions, while performance depends on WiFi speed. Flip Screen Mode is designed for teleprompter use and video conferences where you need to keep looking toward the camera. The connection process is organized into three steps, and shared screen data is protected with industry-standard end-to-end encryption.

The current MacOS release is Deskreen 3.2.16 for Apple Silicon (arm64), categorized as System Tools and distributed as freeware; the project is also open source. It suits presenters, video bloggers, remote meeting participants, and anyone who needs extra viewing space from devices already equipped with a browser. Running one screen-sharing session uses about 250 MB on average, while each additional session can require up to 100 MB.
