About
DesktopGo is an open-source desktop launcher for Windows. It uses Tauri 2, React 19, and Rust to provide a native Windows desktop application. Its interaction model takes inspiration from macOS Launchpad while focusing on organization and search tasks within a Windows desktop setting.
A global keyboard shortcut opens DesktopGo as a single entry point for launching items. Desktop icons and custom application entries can be arranged in a layout that supports dragging and multiple pages. This allows users to group and reorder their desktop access points instead of relying only on the standard desktop arrangement. DesktopGo also uses Everything to support fast file searching, along with file preview and opening actions.
As a Windows application, DesktopGo fits the desktop launcher and file-search category rather than serving as a general cross-platform tool. MirrorNest distributes the official build directly from its own storage and scans it for malware before publishing.
