Displays lets you change resolution and other display settings across every monitor connected to your Mac, including AirPlay displays. A one-click control toggles mirroring, while custom labels can replace width-and-height resolution names, Retina resolutions can be grouped or separated, and overly small choices can be hidden. Night mode can switch macOS to Dark theme, lower brightness, reduce blue light, apply grayscale, or change the wallpaper from a click or keyboard shortcut. On displays without brightness controls, it simulates screen dimming.

Night mode can run on a user-defined schedule, follow sunset and sunrise, or activate automatically when you open a chosen app. Displays captures the entire screen, a selected area, or a window, with options for timers, presets, pointer visibility, and window shadows. Its annotation tools include freehand drawing, rectangles, polygons, stars, arrows, speech bubbles, and text, plus pixelation or blur for sensitive areas.

Screenshots can be uploaded for sharing through Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, pCloud, FTP, or SFTP, with Displays obtaining a share link. For presentations such as app demonstrations or PowerPoint sessions, its virtual laser pointer dims the screen around the highlighted area to direct attention.

Displays 1.9.10 runs on macOS and supports Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. It was moved from the Mac App Store because staying there would have broken Retina-resolution support, while earlier purchasers qualify for a free license key. Displays is freeware, although the developer sells license keys directly.
