Dockside2.9.34

Dockside gives Mac users a dedicated shelf for dragging, dropping, and retrieving files without filling the Dock with temporary items. Flexible drag zones, workflow automations, and quick access to recent files help keep frequently used materials close during everyday work. It can sit beside the Dock or operate independently along any edge of the screen, making use of otherwise empty desktop space.

You can pin a shelf to any display, choose a bottom or vertical layout, and let it auto-hide with the Dock or remain independent. Dockside follows the Dock in bottom, left, or right positions, while its shelves can be placed on any screen edge. Its appearance includes Transparent, Dock-like, and Opaque materials, with light and dark themes plus Liquid Glass integration on macOS Tahoe.

The utility fits study sessions, creative projects, workplace task management, software development, and general file handling. Its interface supports Chinese, Spanish, German, Korean, Japanese, and French, making it practical for multilingual Mac workflows. A temporary floating shelf is also part of its flexible desktop-oriented approach.

Dockside is freeware, and the developer advertises a 14-day trial. Version 2.9.34 is a native, Apple-notarised Mac app requiring macOS 13 Ventura or later, with builds for both Intel and Apple Silicon.
