Droppy16.0.1

Drag a file onto Droppy’s shelf or Mac notch to park it for later, move it to its destination, convert it, or create a share link that automatically expires after three days. Its file tray, floating Basket, clipboard manager, and live activities bring temporary items and status updates into one native Mac package.

The shelf editor lets you choose widgets and position them exactly where you want, while deep customization controls which tools appear. Dropping an image on the notch opens format choices for quick conversion, and jiggling any drag summons the Basket to hold the item until you are ready to place it. Droppy includes 38 free extensions through its Droplet Store, including menu-bar organization, a teleprompter, a Pomodoro timer, an awake-state control, meeting controls for Zoom, Teams, and Meet, per-app audio controls, OCR, and on-device voice transcription.

A keyboard shortcut opens an action ring around the pointer for screenshots, window snapping, text capture, and music controls. Another shortcut brings up a search bar that finds apps, files, and commands, performs calculations or unit conversions, sends files to the Basket, and uninstalls applications. Selecting text exposes instant actions for searching, copying, pasting, or sending it to AI, while the screenshot tool captures a window, region, or element and offers editing with one-click backgrounds.

Droppy suits Mac users who frequently juggle files, clipboard content, screenshots, conversions, and small productivity utilities. It is freeware in the System Tools category, and version 16.0.1 requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later on Intel or Apple Silicon Macs.
