Dropzone4.80.76

Drag a file to the top of your Mac screen and Dropzone reveals actions for moving, copying, sharing, uploading, and other file-handling tasks. It can also launch applications and send files to many different services, making it useful for repeated desktop workflows. Open it from the menu-bar item, or press F3 or a custom keyboard shortcut to bring it forward from another application.

Drop Bar provides a temporary holding area where files can wait until you are ready to use them, then be dragged into another application or onto a Dropzone action. Built-in actions include sharing with nearby devices and creating a note, alongside dozens of other time-saving operations. You can organize actions into separate grids for different workflows and switch between them using the grid menu or the menu item’s contextual menu.

The Dropzone 5 redesign adds a cleaner grid, smoother animations, and Liquid Glass support for macOS Tahoe. It lets you change the number of columns, resize the grid, and position actions to match your preferred arrangement. Folder-based actions can display the custom icons and colors assigned to folders in Finder, helping distinguish them visually.

Dropzone 5 also includes the dz command-line tool for running actions, adding files to Drop Bar, and changing grids from the terminal, including in scripts and automation. Aptonic’s Productivity app suits Mac users who regularly move files, launch programs, upload content, or collect items temporarily during work. Version 4.80.76 is freeware for macOS and supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
