Describe an idea in Dyad and it turns that prompt into a working full-stack web app, allowing non-coders to take a project from concept to a real application. Because it runs locally, Dyad keeps project files on disk, works offline, gives you control of your data, and does not impose a project-count limit. You can bring your own API keys and select OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Ollama, LM Studio, or another model, including local offline models. Generated output is clean, runnable code that you own, with no lock-in, and existing repositories can be imported, edited in VS Code, and exported.

Visual customization sits alongside direct code control, so users can adjust an interface without being cut off from its implementation. For data-backed apps, one-click connections to Supabase or Neon create schemas, migrations, and authentication. Dyad checks for security bugs, injection issues, and misconfigurations before deployment. Projects can be sent to GitHub and Vercel in a few clicks or deployed to a cloud you choose.

It can also connect Chrome DevTools, web browsing, custom APIs, and any MCP server. That combination serves non-developers experimenting with AI as well as hobbyists and professional engineers building web interfaces, games, or other complete applications. Dyad is freeware and open-source, is built in public with a community, and exposes prompts, diffs, and AI-tool behavior for inspection; contributors can participate through GitHub.
