Energiza Pro1.3.5

Energiza Pro lets you set charging limits on a MacBook so the battery spends less time held at a high charge level. It addresses battery wear caused by keeping a plugged-in MacBook near full capacity for extended periods. When charge control is active, the app pauses charging above the lower limit, then resumes automatically and charges up to the chosen upper limit once the level drops below it.

A menu-bar control can start charging on demand, including a “Charge to Full Now” action for preparing to work away from an outlet. The same interface can discharge the battery with a click, although manual discharging requires an Apple M1 chip or later. Its battery monitor shows charge level, battery health, remaining charge cycles, temperature, and estimated time until full or empty.

Users can adjust the menu-bar appearance, choose which charging events produce notifications, and set automatic discharge to a selected upper limit while the MacBook remains plugged in. Additional controls cover charging behavior during sleep and heat protection. Version 1.3.5 is freeware for macOS in the System Tools category, with builds for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
