Ente Photos - Open source, end-to-end encrypted al1.3.67

Ente Photos backs up photos and videos from an Android device while preserving their original quality through end-to-end encryption. You decide when to share backed-up content, and can remove safely stored files from the phone to reclaim local storage.

Albums, descriptions, favorites, hidden items, and memory features help organize and revisit a personal collection. On-device face detection groups people, while natural-language search helps find images by describing what you want. An image editor, dark theme, public album links, and collaborative albums support everyday management and sharing, including contributions from people who do not use the app.

Shared storage supports family use, and family members can share the service’s subscription. Photos can be imported from Google, Apple, or a hard drive, while the cross-platform service can also be self-hosted and starts with 10GB of storage. It suits individuals preserving personal memories, families collecting photos together, and groups that need controlled sharing across devices.

The Android Productivity app is open-source, with source code available for examination and further open-source development. Version 1.3.67 requires Android 8.0 or later and supports arm64-v8a and armeabi-v7a architectures.
