Turn paper documents into digital files on a Mac, then file, sort, archive, and find them from a single scanning workflow. ExactScan uses image processing to produce clean, compact scans and supports more than 500 professional scanner models from Avision, Canon, Fujitsu, HP, Kodak, Oki, Panasonic, Visioneer, and Xerox. It can give compatible PC scanners a Mac driver when the manufacturer provides none, while also working with scanners that use TWAIN or ImageCapture drivers.

Automatic paper-size detection recognizes different page dimensions, supports mixed-size multipage documents, and can build multipage files from a flatbed scanner. Built-in image algorithms crop and straighten pages automatically, while intelligent black-and-white thresholding improves text documents. Blank-page detection can omit empty pages to reduce storage and editing, or insert empty PDF pages as placeholders to preserve document order. ExactScan can also copy documents by sending scans directly to an existing printer, and its filename editing uses native macOS interface elements.
