Fabric lets you gather files, notes, ideas, and meetings in one workspace, then use a personal AI to search, summarize, connect, and act on that material. It is designed for personal knowledge management and note-taking, while also helping users write, collaborate, and publish. The AI can read notes, move Linear tickets into the current week, draft replies in Gmail, update a project roadmap from meeting notes, turn scattered notes into an essay outline, and build a moodboard from saved material.

A visual surface lets you arrange Fabric content spatially, while the minimal editor can embed or link files, notes, and ideas. Meeting tools record conversations, transcribe them, and retain their key points; project spaces support comments, curation, and tasks with priorities, due dates, reminders, and status views. Users can create named agents with individual personalities and schedules for jobs such as summarizing sales calls, researching the web, or checking Reddit for mentions.

Fabric suits thinkers, researchers, designers, creatives, teams, and people managing a business or personal projects. It also provides an AI tutor for lectures and text, a visual library searchable by description, color, or mood, a research companion for discussing ideas, and a searchable workspace for campaign assets, briefs, and references. Shared spaces, folders, and files can be password-protected, with access controls and link analytics showing who viewed shared material, when, and for how long.

Fabric is freeware for macOS in the Productivity category, and version 0.2.14 requires macOS 12 Monterey or later on Apple Silicon (arm64).
