Fechtkarte1.0.17

Generate a sequence of numbered cutting and thrusting actions for a warm-up or routine drill, then practice it while choosing your own edge, guard, footwork, and tempo. Fechtkarte is an open-source Health & Fitness app for Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), built around notation credited to the 16th-century fencing master Joachim Meyer. Its cards specify which openings to work through without prescribing every physical detail of the exercise.

A numbered entry represents a cut, while a dot marks a thrust, and the card’s background colour shows the leading hand so drills can alternate sides. More than 100 traditional drill cards can be browsed by hand and narrowed by action count, thrust count, or technique. Random cards can be created with chosen numbers of actions and thrusts, plus five optional rules that shape the resulting sequence.

Six colour palettes are available for each hand, and they have been designed and checked for colour-vision-deficiency accessibility. Cards can be exported as high-resolution PNG images or print-ready, true-vector PDFs, and shared directly with another app. The app operates fully offline, with no account, analytics, network access, or proprietary dependencies.

Fechtkarte runs on Android 7.0 or later for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 devices, and is licensed under Apache License 2.0. In version 1.0.17, the Learn screen adds explanations of four openings and eight directions, including the passage through Langort, and describes the Compass, Sequence, Bridge, and None line styles in English, German, and French.
