FileFillet2.11.1

FileFillet lets you copy or move files and folders to favorite destinations without opening additional Finder windows. Its destination panel includes favorite folders and their subfolders, while selecting a parent folder gives access to everything beneath it. Hold Control while dragging to open the panel at the pointer, or hover at a screen edge to slide it into view when needed.

The panel can be resized and positioned to suit your workspace, and it stays out of the way when not in use. FileFillet works alongside Finder rather than replacing it, making it useful for people who repeatedly sort downloads, project material, media, or documents into the same locations.

It is freeware for macOS 14 Sonoma, specifically macOS 14.6 or later, and runs natively on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs; the developer describes the offering as non-subscription software. Version 2.11.1 adds options to hide the Dock and menu-bar icons, display macOS 26/27 folder colors and icons, and keep the interface responsive during transfers and directory loading.

This release also addresses transfers that left extra copies, cancellation that failed to stop an operation, folder hover indicators that remained active, and the first transfer to a NAS when the device was not ready, while license or trial status may still require an app restart to refresh. It updates the What’s New view, notes that moving files from eMClient does not work, and identifies native support for Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and similar cloud providers as forthcoming.
