Adjust your Android device’s volume from a slider that remains available above the app you are currently using. Floating Volume provides this control through a floating overlay, so changing audio levels does not require leaving a video, game, music player, or other active app.

The slider can be kept accessible across the device and customized to suit your preferences. Its simple on-screen control is intended for quick volume changes when the physical buttons are inconvenient or when switching away from the current app would interrupt what you are doing.

Floating Volume is open-source software in the Music & Audio category, released under the GNU General Public License version 3 or later. Version 0.0.3 adds a theme selector with dark, light, and system modes, allowing the interface to follow Android’s appearance settings or use a fixed theme.

It runs on Android 5.0 and later and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 devices. F-Droid is the recommended way to obtain it, although new releases can take time to appear there; the project also publishes current releases through GitHub.
