Fork (Dev) lets you create, clone, or add existing Git repositories on MacOS, then review and manage their work from one desktop client. Its commit list combines working-directory changes, repository history, stashes, and recent commit messages, while a repository manager provides summaries and statistics. Side-by-side diffs make source-code changes easy to inspect, and line-by-line staging lets you choose exactly which edits enter a commit.

The merge-conflict helper and built-in resolver guide conflict resolution, while visual interactive rebase lets you edit, reorder, and squash commits. Fork can display differences in common image formats as well as text, giving developers a useful view of non-code assets. History view locates every commit that changed a particular file or directory, and blame view identifies the last commit affecting each line.

Developers can create or delete branches and tags, create or delete remote repositories, and check out a branch or revision. The client also opens recent repositories quickly, shows the repository file tree at any commit, and uses Reflog to recover lost commits. It unobtrusively surfaces GitHub notifications so repository activity is easier to follow without constant interruption.

Fork (Dev) is freeware, runs on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, and the current version is 2.70.2. This MacOS distribution is the official build and undergoes a security check before it becomes available.
