Fork lets Mac users inspect, edit, and manage Git repositories through a graphical client, turning source changes and project history into visible, actionable views. Its commit list, working-directory changes, side-by-side diff, repository manager, and summary statistics bring current work and repository state together.

Developers can create, clone, or add existing repositories, open recent repositories quickly, check out a branch or revision, and create or delete branches and tags. The client can also create or delete remote repositories, stage or unstage changes line by line, and reuse recent commit messages. A clear diff viewer highlights source-code changes, while support for common image formats makes image comparisons available alongside code reviews. History view locates every commit that changed a selected file or directory, and blame view identifies the last commit responsible for each file line.

Fork includes a merge-conflict helper and built-in resolver, as well as visual interactive rebase for editing, reordering, and squashing commits. It surfaces GitHub notifications, shows stashes in the commit list, lets users browse the repository file tree at any commit, and can restore lost commits through Reflog. The current 2.70.2 release supports Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, and the software is freeware. It suits developers working alone or in teams who want visual control during branching, review, conflict resolution, and history investigation.
