Capture a selected screen region, an individual window, or the entire desktop, then work with the resulting image immediately in Greenshot. This open-source photo-and-graphics program for Windows also captures complete, scrolling web pages from Internet Explorer. Its lightweight design keeps routine screenshot creation quick and practical.

The built-in editor lets you add annotations, highlight important areas, and obfuscate sensitive parts before sharing an image. Captures can be saved to files, printed, copied to the clipboard, attached to email, or sent to Microsoft Office programs. Greenshot can also upload images to photo services such as Flickr and Picasa, alongside other configurable output options.
