Griffin PowerMate

Griffin PowerMate is an open-source Windows 11 driver and graphical interface for the Griffin PowerMate USB knob. It is intended for people who still use this discontinued device, which was discontinued in 2018.

The software recognizes rotation to the left or right, along with single, double, and triple presses. It also supports long presses and pressing while rotating the knob. Per-application profiles let the controls behave differently depending on the active program.

Actions can be assigned to volume, media controls, mute, keyboard shortcuts, macros, scrolling, and launching applications. The software provides full control over the knob’s LED, a translucent on-screen display overlay, and a system tray icon.

The WinUSB driver must be installed through Zadig before use, as described in the README. For distribution, MirrorNest stores a direct mirror of the official build and scans it for malware before publishing it.
