About

juju is an open-source tool for installing, integrating, and configuring operators on a cluster. It applies the operator approach to traditional application management on Linux and Windows servers, as well as cloud instances. This gives teams a way to manage applications and their operational tasks through defined operator packages.

Applications and their operators can be arranged into models that group closely integrated workloads on the same underlying environment and under the same team. A model can record information about resource allocation, storage, networking, and application integration for ongoing operations. Operator packages, known as charms, declare methods for tasks such as backup, restore, and security audits. These methods allow applications to be administered remotely without requiring low-level access to the systems they run on.

juju is distributed for Linux in the Developer Tools category. Its open-source license suits teams working with operators, application integration, and lifecycle management, including Kubernetes environments and applications running on machines. MirrorNest stores the official build directly on its own storage and scans it for malware before publishing it.
