LibreHealth Essential Care For Every Baby helps nurses and doctors record and manage essential newborn care from birth through each baby’s first 24 hours. It provides clinical decision support for newborn care teams working in low- and middle-income settings.

Recording a birth time starts an essential newborn-care clock for every baby under observation. Staff can follow several babies at once, while observations and assessments collected during the first two hours are used to classify each baby’s health status automatically. The app then supplies management advice based on that classification and issues reminders or alerts for recommended essential-care interventions. If an intervention is delayed or missed, it captures the reason.

Assessments, classifications, clinical advice, reminders, and intervention records are kept together for the immediate newborn-care period. The system uses DHIS2 as its backend and can be configured for a hospital or another organization, supporting routine work in newborn wards and similar care settings. The Android app is categorized under Health & Fitness.

Version 1.0.0 is the first release. It is open-source, requires Android 4.1 or later, and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, and x86_64 architectures.
