About

Lift is an open-source Android app for recording and following weight-lifting routines. It is intended for people using structured strength programs who want the app to manage progression and the daily routine. The app works without an internet connection, so its core use does not depend on online access.

Lift supports Starting Strength/5x5, the 531 Big But Boring three-month challenge, and Phrak's GSPL (Modified). For these programs, it handles progression and presents the routine for the day. This makes it a focused tool for users whose training follows one of the supported program structures.

Workout data is saved as plain-text Org files rather than a proprietary data format. Because the records are plain text, users can work with them through standard Unix tools and synchronize them with software such as Syncthing. The storage approach keeps lifting records in a form that can be read and manipulated outside the app.

Lift also includes a rest timer that beeps at 1.5-minute intervals to help mark time between sets. As an Android title in the Sports & Health category, it combines routine tracking, training records, and rest timing in a mobile format. MirrorNest mirrors the official Android build on its own storage and scans it for malware before publishing.
