Microsoft Teams

Bring a family plan, project discussion, or work task into one shared space with Microsoft Teams, where people can chat, meet, coordinate activities, and work on shared goals. One-to-one chats, group conversations, communities, teams, and channels organize communication for families, friends, communities, and workplace groups. These spaces also give groups a place to arrange information, discuss topics, and follow ongoing activities.

Teams supports audio and video calls made directly to a person or started from a group chat. Meetings can be scheduled by sharing a link or sending a calendar invitation, with screen sharing, a whiteboard, and breakout rooms available during the session. Messages can contain photos, videos, GIFs, emojis, and animated effects. Documents and other files can be stored in the cloud, while task lists, events, calendars, and organized content help participants manage plans.

Project or topic-based conversations can accompany collaborative document work, keeping related material together. Communities support subject-focused discussions and let members share events, photos, links, and files while access is managed as people join or leave a project. Skype is included in Microsoft Teams Free for continuing related chats, calls, and contacts within Teams. It is free to use, with a paid version offering additional features. In the current version, Copilot can summarize channel meetings.
