Organize shared budgets by creating projects, adding members, and recording the bills they incur. Each project can remain stored locally or synchronize with a self-hosted IHateMoney or Nextcloud Cospend service, so users can decide where its data resides. Projects, participants, and bills can be added, edited, or removed as arrangements change. Bill searches can be filtered by payer, bill name, amount, or date, while project statistics show spending patterns and a settlement plan calculates what members should pay.

Projects can be shared or brought into the app through a link or QR code, making it practical to coordinate expenses among groups. A customizable main color and dark theme adapt the interface to personal preferences. Connecting a Nextcloud account can automatically add projects, and a background synchronization service can notify users about bill-related events. Translations managed through Crowdin provide a multilingual interface.

MoneyBuster is open-source software for Android, with current version 0.1.20 supporting Android 8.0 and later on arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 architectures. Synchronizing with IHateMoney requires an available IHateMoney instance, while the Nextcloud Cospend option requires a Nextcloud instance running the Cospend app; the automatic project feature also uses a Nextcloud account. It suits households, travel groups, clubs, and other teams that need to track shared costs across multiple projects.
