It is designed for people traveling around Dhaka who need a quick way to check card status between journeys.

The app shows the 10 most recent transactions for a card, allowing users to review recent travel and spending. Its clean interface supports straightforward navigation, while secure access and attention to user-data privacy guide the handling of this information.

The current version, 0.0.24, adds CSV export for an individual card’s transaction history, along with a dark-theme setting and lazy loading for transaction history. It can also open NFC settings directly from within the app, includes partial Hatirjheel Station entries, and fixes incorrect balance displays and random WaitingForTap activation.

MRT Buddy runs on Android 7.0 or later and provides builds for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 architectures. It is open-source and focuses specifically on practical information for Dhaka transit-card users rather than broader financial or shopping tasks.
