node-red

node-red is a flow-based programming application for Linux. It is intended for developers who need to connect hardware devices, APIs, and online services. Released under an open-source license, it fits the Developer Tools category.

The application lets users wire these components together into flows. These flows can combine hardware, API, and online service connections in new ways without treating each component as a separate task. Node-RED is therefore suited to building integrations around connected devices and web-based services.

MirrorNest provides the official build directly from its own storage and scans it for malware before publishing. Install it on Linux with sudo snap install node-red. After installation, open a browser at http://{your-server-ip}:1880, or use http://localhost:1880 when accessing it from the local machine. The Snap package runs in strict mode, so it does not have access to the wider system or to tools that may be required for installing some third-party nodes; the default system-level installation is recommended for Node-RED’s full capabilities.
