occm

occm lets Mastodon users read and respond to conversations on the occm server, with particular attention to its server-specific messaging features. It is designed for people whose Mastodon account is hosted on occm rather than for general-purpose use across unrelated servers. The app is a fork of the Mastodon client Moshidon, adapted to work with occm’s custom functions.

Its main distinction is support for occm’s direct-message system, covering both one-to-one and group conversations. New messages appear immediately in the conversation, while avatars and custom emojis are rendered alongside the message content. The client also connects to occm’s pending-mentions feature, so users can follow replies associated with their conversations and manage them without overlooking relevant responses.

Version 2.3.0+fork.118.occmdm adds an Awaiting reply tab under Notifications, bringing the pending-mentions view in line with the web client. A pending mention can also be dismissed from the post menu, which removes it from that list. occm is open-source Android software with universal architecture and requires Android 6.0 or later.
