Oka Unarchiver2.1.6

Drag an archive onto Oka Unarchiver to extract its contents, or use its one-click operation to create a compressed file from selected items. It supports RAR archives, including multi-part RAR sets, and can decompress several archives in a single batch. Password-protected archives are supported for files that require a password before extraction. A preview function accompanies the quick compress and extract tools.

Files can be added by drag and drop, after which you can choose to zip or unzip them. The app also lets you adjust performance and compression level instead of relying on one fixed setting. These controls suit Mac users who occasionally unpack received archives as well as people who regularly handle multiple compressed files at once.

Oka Unarchiver runs on macOS on both Intel and Apple Silicon computers, and version 2.1.6 is the current release. It is distributed as freeware. A macOS permission restriction can prevent an app obtained through the Mac App Store from automatically reading files in the same folder; to unpack such material, first add the required permission or add all volume files to Oka Unarchiver. After that permission step, multi-volume archives can be opened through the application rather than treated as a single incomplete file.
