Olvid4.5.1-fdroid

Send private text messages, photos, and files to selected people with Olvid on an Android device. The app also supports encrypted phone calls and video calls for personal conversations and group communication. It is designed for families, friends, and collaborators who want to communicate without tying their identity to a phone number or email address.

Olvid does not request access to the device’s address book, and contacts are chosen directly by the user. Other Olvid users can be invited either in person or remotely, while messages from unknown sources and unsolicited messages are excluded from its communication model. Everything sent and received is protected by end-to-end encryption and end-to-end authentication. Its cryptographic engine draws on several years of research and is intended to preserve the integrity, confidentiality, and anonymity of conversations. Users can also create groups with selected contacts, without advertising or spam.

The current 4.5.1-fdroid version is for Android 6.0 or later on arm64-v8a devices. Olvid is open-source software, allowing it to be used and examined under that distribution context. It suits private chats, family coordination, project discussions, and secure calls among people who deliberately choose their contacts.
