Peace of Mind+2.1.4

Set a timer for a defined break from connected phone use, with Peace of Mind+ limiting the phone’s connectivity or sound during that interval. This flight-mode timer is designed for periods when calls, messages, and other connected activity should be put aside without abandoning a timed Android-based routine. Its exact behavior depends on the configuration and access available on the device.

Peace of Mind+ works without root access, but root determines which interruption it can apply. On Android 4.2 and later, root access allows it to switch the phone into flight mode; without root, it switches the phone to silent mode instead. That distinction determines whether a particular device can disconnect during the break or only suppress its sounds.

The application was first developed for the Fairphone 1 and is intended to reach other Android phones, including devices used by people waiting for a Fairphone. It suits anyone who wants a scheduled pause from connected phone activity while retaining a simple Android utility for that purpose. Peace of Mind+ is communication software for Android, with version 2.1.4 supporting Android 4.4 and later on Universal architecture. Its open-source license and adaptation beyond the original Fairphone 1 target distinguish it from a closed, device-specific timer.
