PlugBrain1.6.0

PlugBrain blocks access to selected Android apps and asks you to solve a short math problem before letting you return to them. It addresses impulsive screen use by inserting a deliberate pause between tapping a distracting app and opening it. You choose which apps to restrict, set a focus interval, and grant the permissions required for the controls to work.

When a restriction takes effect, solving the displayed challenge restores access to the selected app. The challenge difficulty adapts to your access pattern: frequent attempts to reopen restricted apps produce harder problems, while longer periods away make them easier. This combination of app blocking and brief arithmetic exercises turns access into an intentional decision rather than an immediate action.

PlugBrain is suited to people who want more deliberate device habits during planned periods of focus. It can operate without an internet connection and contains no advertisements, making its intervention available directly on the device. The open-source software is offered for Android in the Health & Fitness category.

Version 1.6.0 requires Android 9 or later and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 architectures. Before using it, you select the apps to control, define the focus interval, and approve the required permissions.
