Scrolex0.13.1

Scrolex presents PDFs and ebooks as horizontally arranged pages, allowing readers to view several pages together instead of being limited to a single-page column. On wide screens, the reader can use available display width for books, course documents, manuals, and other supported publications. It opens PDF, EPUB, MOBI, FictionBook, XPS, and CBZ comic-book files.

Margin cropping removes unused edges around pages, fitting more content into the viewing area. Its hue-preserving dark mode can remain active between sessions. Readers can zoom with Ctrl and the scroll wheel or with touchpad pinch gestures, search the complete text, and use the table of contents to jump directly to sections.

Each scroll-wheel step can advance by one page, while keyboard navigation offers another way to move through a document. Rendering stays sharp on HiDPI displays, and the reader works with both Wayland and X11. Students can use it for course reading, while people consulting manuals, reference documents, and other educational material can keep related pages visible together.

Version 0.13.1 is published by Andrii Berezhynskyi as open-source Education software for Linux. It requires snapd and runs on x86_64 (amd64) systems.
