Secluso

Secluso is an open-source Android application for a private home security camera system built around Raspberry Pi and Secluso hardware. It lets users watch live video, receive alerts, and view recordings from a phone without giving a cloud provider access to their footage. The system is intended for people who want to build a camera setup with a Raspberry Pi and off-the-shelf parts.

Secluso uses end-to-end encryption so the camera encrypts video before it leaves the local network. A relay transports the encrypted data, while users can either self-host that relay on their own VPS or use hosted relay infrastructure without giving the relay access to the footage. On-device AI supports alerts for motion, people, pets, and vehicles.

Secluso Deploy provides a guided path for preparing a Raspberry Pi, pairing it with the Android app, and configuring secure remote access. The software also supports guided image building, QR-based pairing, and relay provisioning to make setup more structured. Its open-source license allows the software to be inspected and self-hosted, and its reproducible releases can be verified.

The Android build is also suited to de-Googled devices because it avoids Firebase and Google Play Services for notifications.
