Shazam: Find Music & Concerts

Point your phone at a song and Shazam identifies it, whether the music is playing nearby or inside TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or Snapchat. It solves the problem of recognizing unfamiliar tracks and keeping a record of music discovered in passing.

Identification works offline, through headphones, and while another app continues playing audio. Auto Shazam can look for multiple songs in succession, while the Notification Bar, Quicktile, and home-screen widget offer fast ways to begin recognition. A personal library preserves identified tracks so they can be revisited later.

The app goes beyond recognition with nearby concert information, recommended songs and playlists, lyrics, music videos, artist content, and local or global Shazam Charts. Results can open in Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, or Deezer, and can be shared through Snapchat, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, or X. Real-time lyrics, automatic additions to Apple Music or Spotify when connected accounts are used, and a dark theme add further convenience.

In the current version, users can choose how Shazam listens when wired or wireless headphones are connected, helping it produce more accurate results; selecting the Headphones icon identifies music playing in apps such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. It suits listeners at home, in shops, at parties, or exploring artists before a concert. The app is free to use, while a paid version provides additional features.
