Souvenirs lets you build story-like photo albums from images, text, video, sound, and handwritten notes, then share those albums with family and friends through Nextcloud. Albums are divided into pages whose image and text blocks fill the page as movable tiles, while each image can be panned or zoomed and tiles can be resized for a custom layout. The viewer also handles photosphere images, giving panoramic material its intended interactive presentation.

Publishing an album to a Nextcloud server requires the Souvenir application on that server and the Nextcloud Android client configured on the device with at least one working account. In Souvenirs, you choose that Nextcloud account in Settings; the Android client performs synchronization with the server. This makes the app useful for preserving trips, events, and personal memories in a designed album rather than a chronological photo gallery.

Version 3.1.0 targets Android 7.0 or later and uses a universal architecture; it is open-source software in the Photo & Graphics category. Internet access is used for Nextcloud album uploads and downloads, storage access is optional for exporting an album as a PDF, and microphone access is optional when recording sound for an album. The release loads the Nextcloud album list in one request without a visual flash, lets videos occupy the full page instead of only their element bounds, and fixes some panorama-loading failures.

Souvenirs uses Glide for media loading, Retrofit for HTTP communication, Nextcloud Single Sign-On for account integration, and Photo Sphere Viewer for panoramic content. Its combination of spatial page layouts, drawings, captions, and multimedia suits anyone who wants albums to convey a memory as a visual narrative.
