About
Syncthing-Fork synchronizes selected files directly between your Android devices, helping you keep personal data consistent without handing it to a proprietary cloud service. As an open-source wrapper around Syncthing, it provides an Android interface for an open and decentralized synchronization system, while leaving you to choose where data is stored, whether it is shared with a third party, and how it travels over the Internet.
The interface shows folder-level, device-level, and overall synchronization progress at a glance. You can schedule synchronization for every hour to reduce battery use, apply separate synchronization conditions to individual devices and folders, and see why Syncthing is currently running or paused. The fork also addresses Syncthing’s excessive battery consumption.
A recent-changes view lets you open files directly, while folder and device settings remain editable even when Syncthing is stopped. Devices on the same local network can be discovered and added from the app, and two-way synchronization on external SD cards is supported on Android 11 and later. It suits people synchronizing files among phones, tablets, computers, or other Syncthing devices who want direct control over storage and data transfer.
Version 2.1.6.0 requires Android 6.0 or newer and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 hardware. Its onboarding now requests local-network access, and Android raw external-storage access handling has been added; the build targets Android 17, using NDK 30 and Go 1.27.1.
