Teleport lets you use one keyboard and pointing device to control multiple Macs, turning them into a shared virtual KVM setup.

Its Client mode controls the keyboard and pointing device of another Mac, while Server mode allows another Mac to control those devices on the local system. Pasteboard synchronization carries copied content between Macs, so text and other clipboard data can be transferred while switching computers. It is suited to people working across several Macs, such as developers, designers, and users with separate primary and secondary systems.

Teleport is freeware for macOS and supports both Intel and Apple Silicon architectures. The current version is 1.3.5, and all key features were reported to work on macOS Big Sur as of version 1.2.2. The project began as closed-source software, was released publicly after discontinuation, and is now maintained by users on an ad-hoc basis.

Earlier versions also offered file drag-and-drop between Macs, encrypted network traffic, and status displays; these capabilities may still function but are unsupported and could be removed if they fail. Maintenance prioritizes keeping the main features working on the latest macOS release rather than adding new capabilities. Contributions are welcome, and creating an account on GitHub is required for contributing to its development.
