Read V2EX topics, follow replies, and take part in its online discussions through a dedicated mobile interface with V2compose. Its Material You presentation is built entirely with Jetpack Compose, giving the app a consistent Android-style visual language. A custom HtmlText component renders the HTML found in topics and replies without embedding a WebView, using a more efficient approach for that content.

The editor accepts Markdown formatting, so posts can be prepared with structured text directly in the app. Automatic check-in is included for users who want that routine action handled within their client. V2compose also supports a configurable proxy server, uses some networking code from V2er-app/Android, and connects to the sov2ex API to provide V2EX search.

It is aimed at people who use V2EX for communication and want a focused client for everyday browsing, posting, searching, and account activity. Firebase is integrated into the project, but its open source does not contain Firebase keys, so developers building the Android version must create their own Firebase application. The release requires Android 8.0 or later, uses Universal architecture, and is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3 or later. Version 1.0.1 adds F-Droid support and fixes a problem that could prevent the app from returning to the home page after Google login.
