Adjust Android’s system volume directly from a dedicated tile in the Quick Settings panel, without reaching for the physical volume buttons. VolumeX provides a minimalist, high-precision shortcut that places audio control within the native Android Quick Settings environment. It works entirely offline, uses no internet permissions, and collects neither tracking data nor telemetry.

The application has a small footprint and uses zero background execution or battery consumption while idle. Material 3 styling gives the tile and its controls a native Android appearance, while theme configurations allow the presentation to match personal preferences. It suits people who frequently change volume during media playback, presentations, gaming, or one-handed phone use, and can also reduce wear on physical volume rockers.

Version 1.1.1 adds compatibility for Android 17 (API 37) volume adjustment through the Quick Settings tile and resolves newer-version TileService crashes involving startActivityAndCollapse intents. The update replaces background intent launching with a transparent action activity invoked through a PendingIntent, preventing silent failures on affected systems. VolumeX runs on Android 7.0 or later with Universal architecture, uses native Android APIs with Kotlin and Java, and is open-source under the Apache 2.0 license.
