1Password (Beta)

1Password (Beta) lets Mac users protect passwords and secrets, manage application access, and secure AI tools from one place. As a password manager, it keeps the credentials people use for accounts and services available when they need them. It is designed for individuals as well as growing teams and enterprise organizations that need controlled access to identities, credentials, and other sensitive information.

Its Unified Access platform discovers, secures, and audits access for people, AI agents, and machines. Administrators can verify AI agents and machine workloads at runtime, then provide only the credentials each one is authorized to receive. Just-in-time and just-enough access policies enforce zero standing privilege instead of leaving permissions continuously available. The platform also helps organizations discover AI and SaaS applications while optimizing their use of AI tokens and software licenses.

The current 1Password (Beta) release is version 8.12.42-32.BETA and runs on macOS 12 Monterey or later using Apple Silicon arm64 hardware. It is freeware in the Security & Privacy category, and its beta status indicates a test-stage release of 1Password. The software suits Mac users securing personal passwords, teams governing application credentials, and enterprises overseeing human, machine, and AI-agent access.
