About

Access 1Password information from a Windows terminal while developing software, using 1Password CLI to bring the service into command-line work. It places 1Password access inside command-prompt sessions, so developers can work with the service without opening a separate graphical context for every interaction. Sign-in supports a fingerprint, providing secure access to the information needed during development.

The terminal serves as the tool’s main working environment rather than an unrelated add-on to 1Password. This lets developers keep password-management interactions alongside coding and other tasks performed through a command prompt. It is suited to development situations where moving between terminal work and a graphical interface would disrupt the flow of a task.

AgileBits publishes 1Password CLI for Windows, and the current build targets x64 architecture. Version 2.42.0 is intended for software developers who need 1Password access as part of their terminal-based workflow. Its role as a System Tools product comes from connecting a password-management service with development work carried out through the command line.
