About

3DF Zephyr Free automatically converts photographs into three-dimensional models, reconstructing the photographed subject or scene from image-based input. It gives users a way to turn small photo sets into 3D representations instead of building those models entirely by hand. The same technology used across the 3DF Zephyr family also makes it a viewer for .ZEP files, so personal users can share projects with customers who need to open files created by 3DF Zephyr Lite, Pro, or Aerial.

The edition is licensed for personal use and has no time limit, making it suitable for learning photogrammetry, following introductory tutorials, or processing a small dataset while a primary license is occupied. Each project can contain up to 50 photographs, a practical limit for simple subjects and small objects. Processing acceleration is limited to one NVIDIA graphics card, while export and editing capabilities are restricted; for example, textures can be exported only in JPG format and customized UV mapping is unavailable.

3DF Zephyr Free runs on Windows x64 and is published by 3Dflow srl; the current version is 9.013. This release fixes AMD-card Gaussian Splatting rendering and a Sketchfab uploader problem, while improving Gaussian Splatting GPU processing by up to approximately 60% with the same settings. Its combination of automatic reconstruction, a compact project limit, and .ZEP viewing suits beginners, educators, and personal users working with modest photographic collections.
