About

AbaClient lets users sign in to Abacus Business Software or AbaWeb without opening a separate internet browser or installing Java themselves. It brings together the components needed to work with Abacus applications and related web content in one Windows client.

The program includes an Abacus-managed Java environment based on the open-source OpenJDK project, avoiding a dependency on Oracle. Its integrated browser is configured for Abacus use and handles certificates generated by Abacus without showing certificate warning messages.

Abacus customers can use AbaClient when accessing business applications or web-based Abacus services from their desktop. It understands the newer abalink format introduced for Abacus version 2019, allowing links in that format to open through the client, and it replaces the earlier AbaStart product.

In version 4.4.1221, links using mailto:, tel:, and callto: open correctly again, while launching AbaClient with start parameters has also been fixed. The release includes additional bug corrections and stability improvements. AbaClient is published by Abacus Research AG for Windows on x64 systems.
