ACDSee Free2.5.0.1164

Browse photos and other media directly on Windows drives with ACDSee Free, without first importing them into a separate library. It lets users search and sort existing folders while inspecting files in place, making it practical for finding images across a computer’s storage. RAW photographs appear in the same browsing workflow as standard image files, which suits photographers reviewing camera originals and organizing personal collections.

The viewer supports JPEG, PNG, TIFF, PSD, and DNG images, along with camera RAW formats such as ARW, CR2, NEF, ORF, RAF, and SRW. It also reads ZIP, RAR, TAR, CAB, and GZ archives. Mixed collections can include audio and video files in MP3, WAV, MP4, MOV, AVI, and WMV, as well as documents in DOCX, PDF, PPTX, XLSX, and XPS. This broad format coverage allows one file browser to inspect photos, media, archives, and office files stored on the same computer.

ACDSee Free incorporates SendPix, ACDSee’s free media-sharing app, so selected photos or other supported media can be sent to family and friends. Its direct-drive browsing distinguishes it from workflows built around importing files into a managed library, making it useful for quick reviews and locating material in existing folders. Published by ACD Systems International Inc., version 2.5.0.1164 runs on Windows with an x64 architecture.
